This is a question we at Great Commission Church are striving to answer. However in today’s society it is a real challenge to define what a real man is. To be honest, our concern is not really focused on how the world defines a man but how God, the designer of man, has defined us.
We enjoy a monthly Men’s breakfast. This is an informal setting where some of the brothers will come and cook up a great breakfast for all of us to partake in. Sometimes we bring speakers in from other churches to speak and sometimes our own brothers will get up and share something that is on their hearts. This is a great place to come and check us out, especially if you are not yet ready for the actual church setting. We also encourage our men to bring their sons to these gatherings as well. These get-togethers normally take place on the third Saturday of every month. During the summer months we normally go out for bowling, fishing, or any other activities which the men find interesting.
We also have a Men's Monday Night Fellowship , This is a weekly informal gathering of the men with coffee. Currently we are going through the Book of Nehemiah. Our focus is on to reconstruct a city that has ben destroyed. This is open to non GCC men as well, So please invite any men who you believe would be blessed by this fellowship.
The Pastoral Staff has a God ordained calling to train the men of God and to prepare them for ministry. This training is being implemented with a plan that involves Evangelism, Establishing, Equipping, and Extending, through an exciting and relevant approach. Therefore men’s discipleship is a true priority at GCC.
